Femtosecond Laser Machine FemtoFAB

FemtoFAB is a turnkey femtosecond laser machine for industrial use. Configuration is selected and carefully tunned according to a specific laser micromachining application, including laser cutting, laser scribing, laser drilling and 3D laser milling with any desirable material (with >2,4 GW peak power). System is protected by Class 1 equivalent laser safety enclosure and is controlled through a single SCA engineer software window.

Femtosecond laser technology based micromachining system FemtoFAB provides laser synchronized motion control and/or integrated galvanometer scanner system control to provide the best speed and precision parameters required for many different industrial micromachining applications.

High speed

Highly reliable industrial grade femtosecond laser system with 76 MHz (osc. out) and up to 1 MHz (amp. out) pulse repetition rates synchronized with Aerotech linear positioning stages and galvanometer scanners offers significant advantages in high speed melt-less micromachining.

Nanometer resolution

High resolution object positioning system (XYZ Aerotech linear stages) synchronized with laser beam positioning system (galvanometer scanners) and laser pulse picker gives full control in space, time and energy domains, allowing to fabricate difficult objects with submicron resolution.

Machine vision

Machine vision system composed of high resolution CCD camera is synchronized with Aerotech linear stages and gives vision for whole system, allowing to acquire position, shape or any feature of the object and adjust the beam accordingly.

SCA engineer automation software

System Control Application (SCA) – original software developed by WOP for convenient control of the laser micromachining processes.
SCA incorporates all hardware devices into a single software application and makes it a turnkey solution. Different device integration burden is eliminated from the end user’s work:

  • no machine code programming is required
  • intuitive user interface
  • WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) trajectory preview
  • support of HPGL – standard printer control language
  • support of .bmp, .dxf, .stl file formats
